Santa arrives by Gondola

Not much longer to wait for Father Christmas!

No chimney?  No problem!

In Murano (which is an island just off Venice, where they make the most treasured Venetian glass), the gondola is the preferred method of arrival by Santa.  Over there, he's known as Babbo Natale.

Video of Murano & Burano

Rick Steves published this video (below), which takes us from Venice, to Murano and Burano!  Murano is well known for its beautiful Venetian glass and Burano started out as a sleepy fishing village which now is known best for its lace!

Please enjoy Rick Steves' video HERE!
